Our 2x2 timber (47x50mm) is a lightweight timber finished to an approx size of 45mm x 45mm. Kiln dried and regularised for straightness and treated for resistance against moisture and pests, our lengths of 2x2 timber are made from high-quality, sustainably sourced timber.

• High-pressure treated (to UC3/UC2 standards or equivalent, using modern preservatives like Tanalith E or similar) and it provides long lasting resistance to fungal decay, insect attack, and weathering, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications (above ground contact).
• The timber is kiln dried which means that the moisture content is reduced for greater dimensional stability, reduced warping/twisting, and enhanced overall strength and durability.
• The joists have regularised eased corners which are smooth, with consistent finish that's safer and more comfortable to work with; minimises splinters, improves paint/stain adhesion, and gives a neater appearance.

Please note:

For proper installation, use exterior-rated fixings and hangers compatible with treated timber, re-seal all cut ends and notches with an appropriate end-grain sealer, and ensure the timber is only used in dry internal or covered external locations above ground.
