What does "Plug-Free" mean for birch plywood?

It means the surface is a "Grade BB" face, which is clear of any wooden patches (plugs). While small sound knots are allowed, you won't find the butterfly-shaped repairs common in lower-grade plywood.

Is the core of the sheet also made of Birch?

Yes. Unlike "Birch Faced" ply which uses cheaper woods in the middle, this is Long Grain Birch throughout, consisting of multiple thin layers of birch veneer for superior strength and stability.

Can this birch plywood be used for outdoor projects?

It is technically graded as EN636-2 (Interior/Humid conditions). While it has moisture-resistant glue, it is not fully waterproof; if used outside, it must be thoroughly sealed and protected from direct weather.

What are the applications for this birch plywood?

Because of its thickness and "Plug-Free" aesthetic, it’s ideal for high-end furniture, kitchen cabinetry, desks, and shopfitting where the edges will be exposed as a design feature.
