Description

Save more with our bundle of 66 Treated C24 timber joists 7x2. They are made using high-quality timber sourced from sustainable forests. These floor and roof joists are kiln-dried to ensure optimal straightness and durability, featuring eased edges for easy handling. Sized at 47x175mm (finished size approximately 45x170mm).

  • Available in 2.4m, 3.6m & 4.8m lengths.
  • High-pressure treated (to UC3/UC2 standards or equivalent, using modern preservatives like Tanalith E or similar) – provides long-lasting resistance to fungal decay, insect attack, and weathering, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications (above ground contact).
  • Kiln-dried – reduces moisture content for greater dimensional stability, reduced warping/twisting, and enhanced overall strength and durability.
  • Regularised with eased corners – smooth, consistent finish that's safer and more comfortable to work with; minimises splinters, improves paint/stain adhesion, and gives a neater appearance.
  • Lightweight yet strong – C24 graded for structural uses.

This timber is commonly used as floor joists and trimmers for structural support, stud walls and plates for internal partitions, rafters and ceiling joists in pitched roof construction, and sub frames for raised decking with drainage clearance.

For proper installation, use exterior-rated fixings and hangers compatible with treated timber, re-seal all cut ends and notches with an appropriate end-grain sealer, and ensure the timber is only used in dry internal or covered external locations above ground.

Important: Finished dimensions are typically slightly under nominal sizes approximately 2mm less in thickness and 5mm less in width. Always seal cut ends and notches with a suitable end-grain sealant.
