Soprema BreatherQuilt insulation is a combination multi-foil insulation and breather membrane. A DIY-friendly option for insulating roofs, solid walls, garages, conversions and retrofit projects, this 11-layer combination of micro-perforated sheets and loft quilt sheet is a robust multi-foil insulation that requires no specialist tools and is less messy than other traditional insulation.
BreatherQuilt is a versatile product suitable for use in walls, roofs and floors, but is particularly effective for retrofitting and conversions - such as in garages and outbuildings where floorspace is at a premium - due to it’s simple installation and space-saving design.

How to install BreatherQuilt
To install in roofs, simply cut to size, install over pitched roof timber rafters, from the eaves to the ridge, fix in place with a staple gun, and seal with Butyl tape. To install on solid walls, first battens must be added to the walls, and the multi foil installed on top. Then horizontal battens should be added on top, before finishing with plasterboard / ply etc. Installations to floor vary on floor types.
