Heavy Duty Restraint Straps are designed to provide reliable horizontal and vertical restraint in structural timber and masonry applications. Commonly used for tying timber roofs and floors into masonry walls, these asymmetrical heavy-duty tension straps provide a secure connection between masonry walls and adjacent floors or roof structures to meet modern building requirements.
Manufactured from galvanised edge-coated mild steel, the H range is designed for strength, durability, and long-term performance in structural applications.
Designed in accordance with The Building Regulations, BS 5268 Part 3, and other relevant building standards for vertical and horizontal restraint, H Heavy Duty Restraint Straps are tested to BS EN 845-1. Please refer to project-specific structural requirements for intended use.

- Manufactured from 4mm thick x 28mm wide edge-coated galvanised mild steel to BS EN 10346 as standard.

- Multi-holed design with 6mm diameter holes at 25mm offset centres
- Standard products include one bend where applicable
Fixing
Restraint straps should be fixed using one of the following approved fixings:
- 50mm No.12 woodscrews (with wall plugs in masonry for vertical restraint applications)
- 75mm x 4.0mm galvanised nails when fixing into timber
