Timber to Timber Joist Hanger 50mm x 270 mm

This W 50 x L 270 x B 50 x S 120mm Standard Timber-to-Timber Hangers provide a quick, safe and reliable solution for joist trimming in light, medium and heavy-duty applications, including supporting floor joists, trimming stairwells and supporting underslung joists. Designed with increased hole centres to distribute load over a greater area, they deliver enhanced structural performance and secure fixing.

The A270 is a lightweight joist hanger manufactured from 0.9mm thick galvanised steel, designed for general timber-to-timber connections. Featuring 50mm wide strap legs, it offers improved performance through increased nail spacing, creating a stronger connection while allowing for fast and straightforward installation.

Suitable for joist depths from 150mm to 250mm, the adjustable leg length can be wrapped over to suit varying joist heights. The A270 is also suitable for face-fixed applications, adding further installation flexibility.

Manufactured as standard from galvanised steel to BS EN 10346:2009 DX51D + G275, with Grade 304 stainless steel available to order for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Fixing

Fix using all pre-punched holes with one of the following fixings:

Type A

• 30mm x 3.75mm Sherardised Square Twist Nails
• Typically supplied loose for manual fixing

Type B

• 35mm x 3.75mm Sherardised Square Twist Nails
• Typically collated for nail gun fixing

Galvanised hangers must be installed using the specified sherardised nails to achieve full design performance.
